Manchester United 'make Kylian Mbappe a transfer target'

Manchester United make Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe a leading transfer target, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly be in the running to sign Kylian Mbappe next summer, providing that the attacker does not leave Paris Saint-Germain before the end of the current transfer window.

The France international's existing deal in Paris is due to expire next June, and Real Madrid are still believed to be hopeful of signing him over the next couple of weeks.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino recently said that he was confident of keeping Mbappe at the club this summer, but the World Cup winner's long-term future is unclear.

According to ESPN, Man United have made the attacker a transfer target, with the Red Devils keen to sign a new big-name forward ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.

Edinson Cavani's expected departure next summer will see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side enter the transfer market, and the report claims that Mbappe will be a target alongside Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland, Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez.

Mbappe is believed to be keen on a move to Real Madrid, but it remains to be seen whether the Spanish giants have the finances to complete a deal due to their issues off the field.

The former Monaco youngster has scored 132 goals and registered 63 assists in 173 appearances for his current side in all competitions, while he has managed 17 goals in 48 caps for France.
