Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly desperate to become Manchester United's next manager after leaving Tottenham Hotspur last month.

Mauricio Pochettino reportedly wants to become Manchester United's next manager after leaving Tottenham Hotspur last month.

Even before he left the North London club, the Argentine has been heavily linked with taking the reins at Old Trafford.

Talk of Pochettino moving to United has intensified following United's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, leaving manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under severe pressure.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the 47-year-old remains 'enchanted' by the prospect of managing United and wanted to take the position after Mourinho left the club.

Currently on a short break in his native Argentina, Pochettino recently confirmed that he wanted an immediate return to management at a European club.

Reports have suggested that defeat in upcoming fixtures against Spurs and Manchester City would see Solskjaer lose his job.
