Napoli reportedly identify Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti as a potential replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly.

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Napoli.

Having fallen down the pecking order at Camp Nou, the Catalan giants are allegedly open to cashing in on the France international during the next window.

While Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with the centre-back, Sport claims that Napoli are also contemplating a bid for the 26-year-old.

The Italian giants are said to be open to parting ways with Kalidou Koulibaly later in 2020, which will leave the Serie A outfit in search of a proven replacement.

The report adds that Napoli have already made contact with Barcelona regarding a potential deal, aware that changes need to be made to their squad after a disappointing campaign.

Umtiti still has just over three years remaining on his contract at the La Liga leaders.
