Manchester United legend Roy Keane has called on his former side to sign a new striker this summer, with Erling Braut Haaland being his preferred option.
The futures of Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial have come under scrutiny in recent months, and bringing in a new centre-forward is thought to be near the top of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's priority list for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Following Manchester United's 3-1 win away to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Keane responded to whether United need to sign a striker on Sky Sports News: "100% because United will need one.
"With Martial and his injury problems, you would not hang your hat on him, Cavani is pushing on [in age] and you would not expect him to be playing every week. If United want to get back to winning titles, they certainly need another striker."
The Red Devils have been linked with big-money moves to sign either Haaland or Harry Kane, as they look to boost their attacking force with Martial and Cavani only scoring 15 goals between them this season.
Keane provided his view on who he would prefer to sign out of the two: "Kane, Haaland - I will take any of them. Maybe Haaland because of his age and the investment behind it, but I would not say no to Kane either if he was the second option."
Harry Kane has scored 29 goals and added 16 assists for Spurs this season, while Haaland has 33 goals and 10 assists to his name in 2020-21.
