Barcelona are reportedly willing to allow midfielder Riqui Puig to leave on loan during the summer transfer window.

Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig will reportedly be allowed to leave on loan during the summer transfer window.

The academy graduate recently penned a new contract at Camp Nou, rejecting the opportunity to depart the Catalan giants on a free transfer in the summer.

However, the 21-year-old still remains a bit-part player under Ronald Koeman, making just three starts and 17 substitute appearances this season.

Having been left out of the squad for the Copa del Rey final last weekend, Sport claims that the prospect will be given permission to find regular action elsewhere.

The report suggests that the final decision will be left to the player, with Koeman happy for the playmaker to earn minutes at another club.

A number of teams from La Liga are likely to head the chase for Puig, although teams from Portugal, Germany and England are also said to be monitoring the situation.
