Sheffield United have reportedly opened talks with Manchester United over a season-long loan deal for Amad Diallo.
The Ivory Coast international is expected to spend the 2021-22 season away from Old Trafford in order to gain valuable first-team experience following the arrival of Jadon Sancho.
Crystal Palace and Basel have both been credited with an interest in Diallo, who provided one assist from four matches for his country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
However, Football Insider now claims that Sheffield United have entered negotiations over a season-long loan and are hopeful of getting a deal over the line within the next couple of weeks.
The report adds that Man United are happy for Diallo to leave on loan with his chances of regular starts this season very limited, and they are keen for the 19-year-old to play regular first-team football.
Diallo arrived at Man United from Atalanta BC for an initial £19m in January and featured seven times for the senior side last term, banking one goal and one assist.
