Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly given Manchester United chiefs the green light to target Erling Braut Haaland next summer.
The Red Devils boss is keen to reunite with the Red Bull Salzburg striker, who he previously managed at Molde, according to The Mirror.
The 19-year-old has scored a stunning 26 goals in just 18 appearances for Salzburg during the 2019-20 campaign, including an unrivalled seven in the Champions League.
Haaland has also reportedly attracted the interest of a whole host of clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus.
Last month, the Norwegian described rumours of him joining Manchester United as "boring".
Haaland, whose father Alf-Inge Haaland famously turned out for Manchester City and Leeds United during his playing days, has a contract at the Red Bull Arena until 2023.
Solskjaer, meanwhile, is light on strikers following the departures of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku this summer and has been heavily linked with signing Juventus' Mario Mandzukic in January.
