Adnan Januzaj 'snubs Belgium World Cup call'

Adnan Januzaj gives his biggest indication yet that he wants to represent England by reportedly snubbing Belgium's approach to play for them at the World Cup.

Adnan Januzaj has given the biggest indication yet that he wants to represent England at international level by reportedly turning down Belgium's World Cup call.

The 19-year-old Manchester United winger is eligible to play for any one of six countries - England, Belgium, Kosovo, Albania, Serbia and Turkey.

A source close to Januzaj told The Sun that he "feels at home" in England, and that they are his preferred choice, although he cannot pull on a Three Lions shirt until he complies with the five-year residency rule.

Having moved to the country at 16, Januzaj will have to remain in the United Kingdom for another two years before he can play for Roy Hodgson's side, but he has hinted that he is willing to wait by snubbing Belgium's advances to be part of their squad for Brazil 2014, according to the Daily Mail.

The winger was born to Kosovon parents, and it is believed that only them being granted permission to form a national team would prove an obstacle to Januzaj committing his allegiances to England.
