Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles has heaped praise on head coach Rafael Benitez, describing him as a "special manager".
The defender said that the Magpies' recent upturn in form, which has seen them win four league games on the bounce, is down to the Spaniard's ice-cool demeanour.
"Rafa Benitez is always calm even when we are losing at St James' Park and it's a bit hectic," Lascelles told The Mirror.
"You might see him sweating on the sidelines but inside I can guarantee he will be the calmest man in the stadium.
"He's been there in these tense situations so many times before. He's managed in big European finals in the Champions League and Europa League, so he knows what he's doing. He is definitely, definitely a special manager."
Newcastle are currently 10th in the Premier League, having defeated Arsenal 2-1 at home on Sunday.
