Sven-Goran Eriksson 'in talks with Egyptian club Zamalek'

Former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson reportedly nears a move to Egyptian club Zamalek.

Sven-Goran Eriksson is allegedly in talks with Egyptian club Zamalek with a view to becoming their new manager.

The former England boss, who was sacked by Chinese outfit Shenzen in June, is keen on the move, according to KingFut.

"My agent told me that someone from Zamalek contacted him, and told him about the club's interest in signing me," the news agency quotes Eriksson as saying.

"Egypt is a great country, and Zamalek is a well-known club.

"We will have another phone call with an official from the club to speak about the offer."

Zamalek, who dominated Egyptian football before rivals Al Ahly rose to power, sacked Portuguese coach Augusto Inacio earlier this month.
