Former Chelsea and West Ham United manager Avram Grant has emerged as a contender for the vacant manager's job with FC Twente, according to Sky Sports News.
Steve McClaren had been widely tipped to take over the club that he left in 2010 following his agent's confirmation that he was in talks with member of Twente's board.
However, it now appears that the former England coach will have a challenge for the role from Grant.
The Israeli has been out of work since being sacked by West Ham United in May 2011.
