Reims have seen their Ligue 1 survival hopes suffer a blow with a 2-0 defeat at Nice.

The loss means that Hubert Fournier's side are one point above the relegation zone having played a game more than their fellow strugglers.

Nice took the lead in the 10th minute when Valentin Eysseric converted from the penalty spot following Mickael Tacalfred's trip on Alexy Bosetti.

The visitors ended the match with 10 men as Aissa Mandi picked up his second yellow card on 69 minutes.

Fourth-placed Nice sealed the victory in the 85th minute thanks to Renato Civelli's header.
