Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live text coverage of Friday night's Championship match between Nottingham Forest and Reading.

Both sides have realistic ambitions of a top-six finish and three points tonight would be a welcome boost ahead of the ever-busy December.

These two haven't met since the 2011-12 season when Reading got promoted to the top flight. That year both home sides won 1-0 in the two matches. A Forest 1-0 win wouldn't be surprising tonight.

REFEREE WATCH: The man in charge tonight is Stuart Attwell.

Enough of the nitpicking, let's take a look at the bigger picture. As mentioned above, both sides are in the running for a top-six finish and they're only separated by two points in the table. If Forest win tonight they will climb up above Blackpool and into fourth while a Reading victory will see them also move up to fourth even though they start the day eighth.

Okey doke. That's one change for Forest as Dan Harding comes in at left-back for injured captain Chris Cohen, who will miss the rest of the season due to cruciate knee ligament damage. Reading, meanwhile, make a pair of alterations as Danny Williams and Hal Robson-Kanu take the places of Chris Baird and Adam Le Fondre.

SUBS! And the two benches this evening:

Forest: De Vries, Halford, Chalobah, Reid, Abdoun, Henderson, Derbyshire
Reading: Federici, Cummings, Akpan, McAnuff, Blackman, Le Fondre, Sharp

READING XI: McCarthy; Gunter, Pearce, Gorkss, Kelly; Williams, Guthrie, McCleary, Obita, Robson-Kanu; Pogrebnyak

FOREST XI: Darlow; Lichaj, Hobbs, Lascelles, Harding; Jara, Lansbury, Majewski, Paterson; Cox, Mackie

Evening all. This week's Friday night game in the second tier looks like a belter! Team news coming right up...
