Oldham Athletic not after Lee Hughes

Oldham Athletic manager Paul Dickov has denied the club are looking at Notts County's Lee Hughes as a potential transfer target.

The 36-year-old has been linked with a move to Oldham this summer, but Dickov has now come out to say the rumours are "absolute rubbish" and has strongly denied a boardroom rift over the transfer.

"Lee Hughes has never been a target and what has been written is absolute rubbish," Dickov told the club's official website.

"Everyone here at the club is pulling in the same direction and are all buying into what we are trying to achieve which is to move the club forward."

Hughes has been at Notts County since 2009, making over 100 league appearances in that time.
