Pontevedra have already made it a cup run to remember, having successfully negotiated their way to the last 16 for the first time since 1971-72.
They kicked off their Copa del Rey run with a dominant 4-1 win over Segunda Division's Levante, before they stunned top-flight Villarreal with a 1-0 victory in the second round.
The fourth-tier outfit went on to eliminate another La Liga side in last week's Copa del Rey outing, pulling off a memorable 3-0 victory over 2023-24 Copa del Rey runners-up Mallorca, courtesy of goals from Dalisson, Yelko Pino and Rufo Sanchez.
Pontevedra's success has not been restricted to the Copa del Rey, with Yago Iglesias's side currently sitting top of Segunda Federacion - Group 1, having won 12, drawn four and lost two of their 18 league games this season.
In fact, Sunday's goalless draw against Valladolid Promesas made it 15 straight competitive games without defeat since they lost 1-0 to Marino de Luanco on October 6.
They have also won their last six home matches by a combined 14-3 scoreline, which will give them immense belief for Wednesday's cup clash, with the hosts looking to reach the quarter-finals for the first time since 1966-67.

Getafe are preparing to compete in the last 16 for the second straight season after successfully negotiating two Copa del Rey ties.
The Azulones kicked off their cup journey with a 3-0 win over Manises, before they required a penalty shootout to squeeze past sixth-tier Orihuela in the second tier.
Getafe managed to avoid another penalty shootout in last week's tie against Segunda Division's Granada, with Borja Mayoral scoring an extra-time winner to send his team into the last 16.
Mayoral found the net again in Sunday's away league clash against Las Palmas, scoring the second goal in a 2-1 victory to help his side claim their first La Liga away win since April, moving them three points clear of the bottom three.
Jose Bordalas' side will head back on the road for Wednesday's Copa del Rey fixture, with the visitors looking to avoid an upset and progress to the quarter-finals for the first time since 2018-19.
The Azulones have history with Pontevedra in the Copa del Rey, previously beating them 2-1 after extra time when the two sides last face off in the third round in November 2004.

Pontevedra are unable to call upon the services of Jesus Fajardo, who is currently sidelined with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Chiqui may also be unavailable for selection after being forced off in the first half of the third-round clash with Mallorca.
Dalisson will be looking to make another significant contribution in the Copa del Rey after scoring in the last two rounds against La Liga opposition.
Meanwhile, they are expected to be without Allan Nyom and Juan Berrocal due to injury, while Yellu Santiago is a doubt after missing the win over Las Palmas through illness.
Diego Rico is set to return to the Getafe lineup after serving a one-match suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.
Mayoral could be given the chance to start Wednesday's cup tie after returning from injury to score in back-to-back substitute appearances.
Pontevedra CF possible starting lineup:
Vizoso; Fontan, Suarez, Gomez, Hernandez; Dominguez, Pino, Mayo, Novo, Gonzalez; Dalisson
Getafe possible starting lineup:
Letacek; Iglesias, Duarte, Djene, Rico; Sola, Milla, Arambarri, Coba; Uche, Mayoral
We say: Pontevedra CF 1-2 Getafe
Pontevedra will be looking to pull off another upset in Wednesday's Copa del Rey tie, but while we think they could run Getafe close, we think the visitors' top-flight quality will help them claim a narrow victory in the last-16 clash.
