Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been handed a two-match ban by a disciplinary panel for his red card against Saint-Etienne last weekend.
Ibrahimovic was dismissed during PSG's first Ligue 1 defeat of the season for a chest-high kick on Saint-Etienne goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier.
After reviewing video evidence, the French Professional Football League's disciplinary commission decided that Ibrahimovic deserved a spell of two games on the sidelines.
Carlo Ancelotti's side will be without their Swedish talisman over the next fortnight for matches against Montpellier and Nice.
The 31-year-old has made a superb start to life in the French capital, racing ahead as top scorer in Ligue 1 with 10 goals.
