Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to end Mauro Icardi's loan spell at the Parc des Princes, allowing the Argentine to return to parent club Inter Milan.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly happy to bring an immediate end to Mauro Icardi's loan spell at the Parc des Princes.

Since leaving Inter Milan on a temporary basis last summer, Icardi has contributed 17 goals from 26 appearances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

However, despite PSG having an option to push through a permanent move, it appears that the 27-year-old intends to continue his career in Italy.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Icardi's wife and agent Wanda Nara has informed PSG that he sees his future away from the French giants.

The report adds that PSG's sporting director Leonardo is prepared to allow the Argentina international to end his loan period with immediate effect.

Due to his current relationship with Inter, it appears likely that the Serie A title challengers will look to sell the frontman during the next transfer window.
