Joey Barton believes that there is "too much to do" for Queens Park Rangers to remain in the Premier League.

Joey Barton believes that Queens Park Rangers will fall into the Championship by the end of the season.

The midfielder, who is on loan at Marseille from the R's for the season, believes that the West London outfit should have done better against Fulham, who snatched a 3-2 win over QPR last night.

Barton wrote on Twitter: "Realistically thats it. Too much to do for QPR. Had enough chances to get something tonight. Can't give 3 goal head starts at this level.

"[Manager Harry] Redknapp was given a very difficult task. Can't blame him for spending money. It was necessary if they were to have a chance."

QPR are seven points away from safety with as many games left to play.
