Queens Park Rangers are not preparing a bid to take David Beckham to Loftus Road, according to the club's vice-chairman Amit Bhatia.
The newly-promoted side have recently been taken over by Malaysian businessman Tony Fernandes, who funded the recent additions of Joey Barton, Armand Traore, Luke Young, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Anton Ferdinand and Jason Puncheon.
Bhatia has moved to quash rumours that former England captain Beckham, whose contract with LA Galaxy expires in November, will join that list of players.
"There's absolutely no truth in it," Bhatia told West London Sport.
"David Beckham is a great player and I hope in the next few years we'll be signing players of such stature, but not now."
Beckham, 36, has previously ruled out a return to the Premier League.
