Rangers fans approve plans to sell the naming rights for Ibrox, as long as Ibrox remains in the title.

Rangers have announced that fans have given the go-ahead for the club to pursue the sale of naming rights for Ibrox.

Over 300 supporters attended a forum at the stadium last night, granting permission for the Third Division side to progress the plans, but stipulating that "Ibrox" must remain in the name of the ground.

Chief executive Charles Green told the club's website: "I am very pleased and heartened by the supporters approach to this issue and we will take things forward as soon as possible."

It is hoped that allowing the name of the facility to be sponsored will bring extra revenue to the cash-strapped club.
