Real Madrid star Gareth Bale 'out for two to three weeks with calf injury'

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale will reportedly be out of action for two to three weeks with a calf injury.

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is reportedly expected to be out of action for two to three weeks with a calf injury.

The Wales international suffered the problem in his right leg during the first half of Madrid's 5-1 triumph over Sporting Gijon on Saturday.

According to The Mirror, Bale underwent tests at the Santas hospital on Tuesday and it is expected that the attacker will not be back in contention until Madrid's Champions League round-of-16 tie against Roma on February 17.

Bale has now picked up his sixth calf injury since moving to the Bernabeu in 2013 from Tottenham Hotspur in a world record £85m transfer.
