Iker Casillas believes that Real Madrid can win La Liga this season and is also keen on Champions League and Copa del Rey success.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has insisted that his side can win La Liga this season.

The defending Spanish champions are currently third in the league with 29 points from 14 matches, 11 points behind leaders Barcelona.

"The targets set for the end of the season are still there," he said. "The pity is that perhaps we are at such a distance in the league from Atletico, despite having cut the deficit last weekend, and with Barcelona, which is even further away.

"But we made it through to the next round of the Champions League and we expect a tough rival in the last 16, but by February there will be time to prepare.

"Now we want to focus on the league and cut the lead of those ahead, and in the Cup (Copa del Rey) move forward."

Madrid are away at Real Valladolid in La Liga on Saturday.
