A report claims that Brazil boss Tite has emerged as a contender to succeed Zinedine Zidane as Real Madrid manager prior to next season.

European champions Real Madrid have turned to Brazil boss Tite in their search for a new manager, according to a report.

Los Blancos were rocked by the departure of Zinedine Zidane last week, days after he guided the club to a third successive Champions League success.

Having so far struggled to find a suitable replacement for Zidane, with Mauricio Pochettino and Massimiliano Allegri both said to be out of reach, Spanish outlet AS suggests that Tite has emerged as a viable contender.

President Florentino Perez wanted a manager in place by the start of the World Cup, but Brazil are fancied to make it to the latter stages of the competition in Russia.

Tite has more than 25 years of experience in management, most recently taking charge of Brazilian giants Corinthians at club level.
