Former Real Madrid striker Hugo Sanchez praises the form of the current side but thinks that Cristiano Ronaldo needs more help.

Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez believes that the team's current two strikers Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain must contribute more.

The former Mexico forward is pleased with Madrid's recent form, particularly that of Cristiano Ronaldo, who he believes needs more help.

Sanchez was also full of praise for young defender Raphael Varane.

"I'm really happy with the way they're playing, they are extremely difficult to beat and ruthless," Sanchez told Marca.

"Cristiano Ronaldo in particular has been ruthless. He leads the charge when it comes to goals but Higuain and Benzema need to help him out more.

"It's a good call from [Jose] Mourinho [to play Varane]. His youthful exuberance, ability and coolness under pressure are a pleasure to behold."

Madrid take on Real Zaragoza this evening.
