AC Milan will not begin their 2021-22 Serie A season until August 23, but the Italian giants have been busy during pre-season and will continue their preparations for the new campaign with a friendly against Real Madrid on Sunday.
Head coach Stefano Pioli has been able to bring in a number of new players this summer, with Fikayo Tomori, Mike Maignan, Sandro Tonali, Fode Ballo-Toure, Brahim Diaz and Olivier Giroud all arriving.
Milan will enter this weekend's contest off the back of a goalless draw with Valencia on Wednesday, and it is expected to be a similar squad for this match.
The fact that the Italian side are still a little way from the start of their season means that Pioli will make full use of his squad once again.
Giroud came off the bench on the 60-minute mark against Valencia but might now be handed the position at the tip of the attack, with Diaz potentially operating in the number 10 position.
Maignan is the new number one goalkeeper at San Siro following Gianluigi Donnarumma's exit, and he should again start between the sticks, with Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli likely to be the two centre-backs.
It might be a 4-2-3-1 formation for the Serie A outfit, with Tonali potentially being joined in midfield by Rade Krunic, but Franck Kessie is not available following his involvement in the Tokyo Olympics.
AC Milan possible starting lineup: Maignan; Conti, Tomori, Romagnoli, Ballo-Toure; Tonali, Krunic; Castillejo, Diaz, Rebic; Giroud
