Carlo Ancelotti: 'No transfers in January'

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti insists that the club will not be making any signings or selling anyone in the January transfer window.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that there will be no signings or anyone leaving the club in the January transfer window.

There have been rumours in recent weeks suggesting that the likes of Xabi Alonso and Iker Casillas could leave the La Liga side.

"Casillas's situation is very clear," Ancelotti told reporters. "He will play in the Champions League and also in the cup."

The Frenchman also discussed Alonso's contract, which expires in the summer.

"I think that we will find a solution and reach an agreement between club and player," he said.

"There is nothing new regarding that. No players are leaving and we're not going to sign anyone. The window is closed for us."

Real Madrid face Celta Vigo in La Liga on Monday night.
