Italian clubs Juventus and AC Milan have reportedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid winger Marcos Asensio.
The Spaniard has scored 52 goals and provided 27 assists in 250 appearances for Real Madrid, but his future at the club appears to be uncertain.
Asensio has only started three of Real Madrid's 21 competitive games this season, and with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season, it remains to be seen whether he will be offered a new deal.
According to Calcio Mercato, Juventus and AC Milan are both interested in signing the 26-year-old, and they have received a boost in their quest to lure Asensio to Italy.
A recent report claimed that Real Madrid are considering a move for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, which would knock Asensio further down the pecking order.
The two Italian giants are hoping to sign Asensio on a free transfer when his current deal expires in June.
