Real Madrid will reportedly prioritise a move for Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe over Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland in 2021.
With Los Blancos in the market for a new frontman as Karim Benzema approaches the latter stages of his career, Mbappe and Haaland have been the two players most strongly linked with a move to the Spanish capital.
However, Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc recently affirmed that Haaland would remain at the Westfalenstadion for a long time despite reported interest from Zinedine Zidane's La Liga champions.
As a result, AS claim that Madrid will instead look to move for Mbappe in the summer transfer window, with the World Cup-winning Frenchman in talks with PSG over a new deal but yet to put pen to paper past 2022.
The report suggests that Los Blancos will attempt to swoop for Haaland in two years' time, but Mbappe tops their wishlist for 2021 alongside Rennes protege Eduardo Camavinga.
Mbappe has banked nine goals and seven assists across all competitions for PSG this term, while Haaland - who recently became the fastest-ever player to score 15 Champions League goals - has struck 17 times and set up three more in the 2020-21 campaign.
