Real Sociedad have moved quickly to appoint a new manager following the sacking of David Moyes.
The Scotsman was relieved of his duties on Monday afternoon after just one year in charge of the La Liga outfit.
Former Barcelona assistant Eusebio Sacristan has now been appointed at Anoeta on a deal that will run until the end of next season.
Speaking to Sociedad's official website upon his arrival, the new head coach - without a job since leaving Barcelona B in February - said: "I am proud and honoured to coach this club. It fills me with enthusiasm, the challenge of coming here to get to live beautiful moments.
"[This team] has all the conditions to grow and improve. Now [we] have to work and get that level of demand and commitment to change the dynamic and move forward."
Sociedad have won just two of their 11 league games so far this season to find themselves inside the relegation zone.
