Republic of Ireland defender Richard Dunne insists that his country can still qualify for the latter stages of Euro 2012.

Republic of Ireland defender Richard Dunne believes that his country can still qualify for the latter stages of Euro 2012.

Ireland opened up their Group C campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Croatia on Sunday, and they must now secure four points from their final two games to have a chance of progressing.

"We'll be written off and not given a chance. But we've got 180 minutes of football to go. We have to still believe. We want to beat Spain," Dunne told The Sun.

Ireland face Spain on Thursday.
