Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido claims that Alvaro Negredo could still stay at the club.

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has claimed that wantaway striker Alvaro Negredo could yet stay at the club.

Negredo has been linked with the likes of Atletico Madrid and West Ham United recently, with Sevilla admitting that they had received offers.

Del Nido has now insisted that the player will not be sold for a small price, and even says that he hopes Negredo will stay at Sevilla.

"We are not going to undersell Negredo or any other player," Del Nido told AS. "If you ask me, I would like him to stay.

"I hope he does and continues to score many goals for Sevilla. We are used to the pressure there is in these case but we are evidently not going to undersell him.

"He will only go if the right offer arrives. If it doesn't, he will stay, he has another four years left on his contract."

Sevilla have already sold one of their star players this summer, with Jesus Navas joining Manchester City.
