Adam Lallana cannot wait for the new season following the fixtures announcement.

Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana has admitted that he cannot wait to begin the new season following yesterday's announcement of the 2013-14 Premier League fixtures.

Lallana said that the players cannot help picking out winnable games, but is aware that there is no such thing as an easy three points in the Premier League.

"It's a bit different to last season's fixtures," Lallana told the club's official website. "It's pretty exciting when the fixtures come out, and now I'm just looking forward to the first game of the season away at West Bromwich Albion.

"You'd say there are some winnable games in there, but that doesn't mean you're guaranteed three points."

Southampton finish the season with a home clash against Manchester United.
