Marc Bartra ready for crucial stage of career

Marc Bartra believes that it is an important time in his career as he prepares to make his debut for Spain.

Marc Bartra has insisted that he is ready to make an impact at both club and international level.

The Barcelona defender is expected to make his Spain debut against Equatorial Guinea on Friday following his call-up to the squad as a replacement for the injured Cesc Fabregas.

"It is the biggest thing you can do as a footballer," Bartra told Marca.

"There are very good players but I have to be prepared to be ready at any time.

"It's an important time for me with both Barcelona and Spain."

Bartra has represented the Spain Under-21s on 16 occasions.
