Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that it is a "time for reflection" after being removed from his role at White Hart Lane.
Villas-Boas was sacked after Spurs lost 5-0 to Liverpool, but the Portuguese coach has revealed that he has enjoyed his time in England at both Tottenham and Chelsea.
The 36-year-old told O Jogo: "I wish that I could have responded to the confidence of the fans with a trophy. I had great ambitions to win a trophy this season.
"This is now a time of reflection for myself and my staff, and for re-positioning our careers. Nevertheless, England was a great experience."
Villas-Boas has been replaced at the club by Tim Sherwood.
