Real Madrid have reportedly earmarked Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham as their top transfer targets for next summer.
The Spanish and European champions only sanctioned deals for two new players in the most recent window, bringing in Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni from Chelsea and Monaco respectively.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti has already ruled out the possibility of Los Blancos making any new additions in the January transfer window, as Real look ahead to the summer of 2023.
Midfield could be a priority area for Real Madrid next year, with both Luka Modric and Toni Kroos currently due to become free agents in under 12 months' time.
Karim Benzema continues to hold the fort up front for Ancelotti's side, but the Ballon d'Or winner will turn 35 next month, and Real are starting to plan for life without him.

According to Sport, Kane and Bellingham headline a seven-man transfer wishlist for Real Madrid, and both England players are being keenly watched at the World Cup.
Kane tried and failed to secure a move away from Antonio Conte's side last summer, with Manchester United and Manchester City both interested in signing him in 2021.
However, with Daniel Levy refusing to entertain offers for the England captain, he remained in North London to help Tottenham to a fourth-placed finish and spot in the Champions League.
Kane is yet to extend his Spurs stay beyond the summer of 2024, but there is increasing optimism over the club's chances of agreeing a new contract with the 29-year-old, who is still waiting for his first major trophy at club level.
The striker has been the subject of public interest from Bayern Munich over the past few months, and Kane is not expected to resume contract talks with Tottenham until after the World Cup.
The report adds that Levy would now demand a €90m (£77.8m) fee to part ways with Kane, but Real would not be willing to pay that price.

Meanwhile, Bellingham is widely expected to depart Dortmund in the summer of 2023, and the 19-year-old will likely be at the centre of a fierce transfer tussle between several big clubs.
Bellingham has gone from strength to strength at the Westfalenstadion since departing Birmingham City in 2020, and the Black and Yellows could supposedly demand a £130m to sanction a sale.
With Manchester United and Chelsea reported to have pulled out of the race to sign Bellingham, Liverpool could be Real Madrid's main competitors for the England international's signature.
However, Real apparently hold an early advantage in the race for the Bellingham's services, with the teenager said to have his heart set on a switch to the Bernabeu.
As well as Kane and Bellingham, the likes of Youri Tielemans, Enzo Fernandez, Youssoufa Moukoko, Alphonso Davies and Stanislav Lobotka are also said to be on Real's transfer shortlist.
