Harry Redknapp: 'No bid for Michael Dawson'

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp says that the club have not made any bids for Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has insisted that the newly-promoted club have not made any offers for Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson.

The 30-year-old has reportedly been told that he can leave White Hart Lane this summer, which has sparked interest from fellow Premier League side Hull City.

Dawson worked with Redknapp during his stint as Tottenham manager, but the QPR boss has stated that a move is unlikely.

"I like Michael. He is top player and a great lad as well," Redknapp told talkSPORT.

"You would have Michael in your team any day of the week but we haven't made any offers for Michael."

Meanwhile, QPR are reportedly close to completing the signing of former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand.
