Mark Hughes has revealed that he plans to try to add to his Stoke City squad in the January transfer window.
The Potters are living in dangerously in the Premier League and sit just three points above the relegation zone following their 4-0 defeat at Everton on Saturday.
"I think we have to invest and improve the first team," Hughes told the press. "Those type of players might not be available in January.
"We have got targets in mind and we will see if we can bring them to the club. If we do that, it will help us.
"We will try to address the weaknesses and add to the strengths we have."
Stoke have just one win in their last 10 games heading into their match against Cardiff City at the Britannia Stadium on Wednesday.
