Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce plots double Swansea City raid?

Swansea City attackers Andre Ayew and Bafetimbi Gomis are both reportedly summer transfer targets of Sunderland.

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has reportedly set aside a portion of his summer budget to secure the services of two Swansea City players.

Allardyce's interest in Andre Ayew during the January transfer window was well documented, but no deal was struck.

However, the Daily Star claims that the Black Cats boss is now ready to renew his interest in the £15m-rated striker.

The report adds that Allardyce is also keen on Ayew's teammate Bafetimbi Gomis, who netted seven goals last season.

Last term Sunderland were overly reliant on Jermain Defoe's goals to keep them in the Premier League, which is likely to be the reason behind Allardyce's supposed eagerness to bolster his attacking options at the Stadium of Light.
