Michael Laudrup has admitted that he is desperate to pick up all three points against Reading.
The Swans are without a win in their last four matches, and have gone three games without scoring a goal.
The Danish boss started life at the Liberty Stadium in impressive fashion with seven points from his opening three games, but has found Premier League points more difficult to come by in recent weeks.
Laudrup thinks that a victory against Reading is essential to revive their season.
He said: "It's an important game for us. We are playing at home, against a direct rival, and we want to win.
"These are the games that we have to get points from."
Swansea go into their match against the Royals in 11th place in the Premier League table, against a Reading side still searching for their first league win of the season.
