Nice sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has insisted that Manchester United target Jean Clair-Todibo will remain with the French club this month.

United were heavily linked with the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window, amid speculation surrounding Harry Maguire's future.

The England international attracted interest from West Ham United, but he ultimately remained at Old Trafford following the transfer deadline.

Although Maguire has since worked his way back into Erik ten Hag's plans, Man United are still on the lookout for a new centre-back, with Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans out of contract at the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly rejected a bid for Emerson Royal from Al-Nassr.

Spurs have experienced a busy transfer window, having recruited added defender Radu Dragusin and forward Timo Werner to Ange Postecoglou's squad.

In addition to a couple of new signings, Tottenham have seen a number of players leave the club on temporary deals, including Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier, Djed Spence, Japhet Tanganga and Ashley Phillips.

Ivan Perisic has also bid his farewells after joining Hadjuk Split on an initial loan deal, before he signs on a permanent basis once his Spurs contract expires in the summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly preparing to allow Yerson Mosquera to join Villarreal on loan.

In 2021, the Premier League outfit won a hotly-contested race to secure the signature of the defender, with the hope being that he would develop into a key centre-back.

As it stands, though, the 22-year-old has been restricted to just one eight-minute appearance, a result of a hamstring injury being sustained against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup and a loan period being spent at FC Cincinnati.

The spell in MLS proved to be an overwhelming success, as Mosquera made a total of 35 appearances in all competitions and helped guide his side to first place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Newcastle United have confirmed that defender Javi Manquillo has joined La Liga side Celta Vigo on a permanent deal.

The 29-year-old arrived in his native Spain on Thursday evening to undergo a medical, and he has since penned a contract with Celta Vigo that runs until June 2025.

Manquillo made a total of 110 appearances for Newcastle over a six-and-a-half-year period having arrived at the club from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2017.

The right-back scored his solitary goal for the Magpies in a 4-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League in November 2021.

Manchester City are reportedly in pole position to sign Troyes attacker Savio during this summer's transfer window, with a deal potentially being completed for as little as £10m.

The 19-year-old joined Girona on loan from Troyes last July, and he has been in impressive form for the La Liga leaders this season, scoring six goals and registering five assists in 23 appearances.

A number of clubs have been credited with an interest in the teenager, but according to the Daily Star, Man City are the heavy favourites to secure his signature in a cut-price deal.

The report claims that the Premier League champions could purchase Savio for as little as £10m, as both Girona and Troyes are owned by the club's City Football Group.

Benjamin Sesko reportedly has a release clause present in his RB Leipzig contract that becomes active in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old, who is one of the most highly-rated young forwards in Europe, is currently in his first campaign with the Bundesliga outfit.

However, Sesko has endured somewhat of a frustrating campaign, making seven starts and 16 substitute outings in all competitions with seven goals being scored during 2023-24.

While Leipzig would like to keep the Slovenia international in the long term, Sky Sports Deutschland journalist Philipp Hinze says that there is a €50m (£43m) in his contract.

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has suggested that his club will not be making any signings in the latter stages of the January transfer window.

The Gunners bounced back from three straight losses in impressive fashion on Saturday afternoon, recording a 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium to move into third spot in the Premier League table.

Arsenal are only two points off division leaders Liverpool, but it has been claimed that their lack of an elite striker could cost them the chance to win the trophy.

The North London club outfit have been heavily linked with Brentford's Ivan Toney, who scored on his return to football on Saturday against Nottingham Forest following a lengthy absence.

Agent: 'Martial will not leave Man United in January'

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag speaks to substitute Anthony Martial on September 30, 2023
    © Reuters

Anthony Martial will not be leaving Manchester United during the January transfer window, according to his agent Philippe Lamboley.

The 28-year-old's future has been the subject of much speculation, as he only has a contract with the 20-time English champions until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

Martial, who has not featured for Erik ten Hag's side since the start of September, has been linked with a mid-season exit, with a number of clubs believed to be interested in his signature.

However, the Frenchman's agent has ruled out a January exit, revealing that the ex-Monaco youngster will stay at Old Trafford until at least the end of the campaign.

Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly pushing for his club to sign Manchester United midfielder Casemiro during this summer's transfer window.

Casemiro, 31, has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2026, with the option of an additional 12 months, but there is currently widespread speculation surrounding his future.

Injuries have restricted the Brazil captain to just 12 appearances this season, but he was back on the bench against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend after recovering from a hamstring issue.

Casemiro will stay at Man United this month despite suggestions that he could be on the move before the end of the January transfer window.

De Ligt 'open to Bayern exit amid Arsenal, Man United links'

Bayern Munich centre-back Matthijs de Ligt is reportedly open to leaving the Bundesliga champions this summer amid suggestions of interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The centre-back's excellent form for Ajax led to a number of clubs battling for his signature, and it is believed that Man United made an attempt to sign him in the summer of 2019.

De Ligt ultimately made the move to Juventus, though, representing the Old Lady on 117 occasions in all competitions, before joining Bayern in the summer of 2022.

The Netherlands international made 43 appearances during his first season at Allianz Arena, winning the DFL-Supercup and Bundesliga in the process, but he has been restricted to just 12 outings this term.

Man United to offer Casemiro £20m pay-off this summer?

    © Reuters

Manchester United are reportedly considering striking a pay-off agreement with Casemiro to move the experienced midfielder on at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

The 31-year-old made a big-money move from Real Madrid to Old Trafford in the summer of 2022, with the Red Devils switching their attention to him after failing to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona.

Casemiro scored seven times in 51 appearances for Man United during a successful first season at the club, but he has struggled with fitness problems this term, being restricted to just 12 outings in all competitions.

The Brazil captain was back on the bench against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last weekend, having recovered from a hamstring issue which has kept him out since the start of November.

Transfer rumours: Wilson to Atletico, Gnonto to West Ham, Holgate to Sheffield United

Atletico Madrid have reportedly failed with an attempt to sign Callum Wilson on loan from Newcastle United.

The 31-year-old has scored eight times and registered one assist in 20 appearances for the Magpies during the 2023-24 campaign, including seven strikes in the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, Atletico approached Newcastle with a loan move for the experienced striker, but the Magpies were quick to turn down the offer.

The report claims that a permanent sale has not been ruled out, with Newcastle's difficulties surrounding Financial Fair Play leaving them in a vulnerable position.

Ten Hag 'wants to bring Brobbey to Man United this month'

    Ajax's Brian Brobbey on November 20, 2023
    © Reuters

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag is reportedly hopeful of bringing Ajax forward Brian Brobbey to Old Trafford before the January transfer window closes for business.

The Red Devils are currently short of options in the final third of the field, with Anthony Martial's absence meaning that Rasmus Hojlund is the only senior centre-forward at Ten Hag's disposal.

Martial is set to leave on a free transfer this summer, and a new striker is believed to be a priority for the Red Devils, with a recent report claimed that Brobbey was still a target, having been strongly linked with the Dutchman during Ten Hag's first transfer window as head coach.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Brobbey is wanted by Man United's manager this month, with the two individuals said to have 'a high appreciation for each other'.

Sheffield United are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Croatian goalkeeper Ivo Grbic from Atletico Madrid in the current transfer window.

The 28-year-old keeper has made two appearances for his national side and was part of the Croatian squad that came third at the World Cup in Qatar.

However, Grbic's playing time for Atletico has been limited, as he has been forced to play backup to Slovenian international Jan Oblak.

According to Football Insider, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is actively pursuing a new goalkeeper during this month's transfer window as he looks to bolster his side's survival hopes, and The Blades boss has identified Grbic as a potential target for the position.
