Slaven Bilic confirms Diafra Sakho injury

Diafra Sakho's absence is down to a knee injury and not because of a dispute with the club, according to West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has revealed that Diafra Sakho will be sidelined for "one week" with a knee injury.

The striker's unexpected absence from the 3-3 draw with Arsenal at the weekend resulted in speculation that there had been a fallout between player and manager.

However, Bilic has poured cold water on the rumours, insisting that Sakho is not fit.

"The situation with Diafra is very simple. He reported an injury after training on Friday," Bilic told reporters.

"He was not in the squad. Yesterday he had a scan, which showed a little bit of a problem and he will be out for one week."

As a result, the 26-year-old will miss tomorrow's FA Cup clash against Manchester United at Upton Park.
