World champion Sebastian Vettel will take no further part in today's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after suffering a puncture on the opening lap.
The incident occurred as the 24-year-old headed into turn two of the course.
As he entered the pits, it was discovered that he had damaged the wheel and part of the wishbone.
It is the first time that Vettel has been forced to retire from a race since Korea in 2010 when his engine failed.
