A leading specialist sports newspaper has criticized the new "affordable" ticket price for the Las Vegas Grand Prix as "madness."

In response to feedback about the exorbitantly high costs at last year's inaugural event, the race's CEO, Renee Wilm, announced a new, supposedly more economical price tier for a limited number of standing-only general admission spots.

"We continuously strive to deliver value and broaden our product ladder to make the Las Vegas GP accessible to more fans, while maintaining exceptional fan experiences," Wilm stated.

Despite these stated intentions, the price for the cheapest new three-day pass remains steep at an eye-watering $1,350.
"No assigned seat for over a thousand euros?" Jacopo Moretti, a journalist from Italy's prestigious La Gazzetta dello Sport, expressed his disbelief.

"Almost madness, but not in Las Vegas. The good news is that you get free food and drinks," he noted.

Moretti also referenced Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc, who has voiced his worries about the event becoming increasingly exclusive and unaffordable for average fans.

"I hope that Formula 1 is thinking about this," Leclerc commented.

"There are many expensive events now but true fans of this sport cannot afford to come to the circuit. This is a problem that needs to be addressed," he concluded.
