Sebastian Vettel has insisted that there was no shame in finishing behind Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton during the qualifying round of the Spanish Grand Prix.
The German will start tomorrow's race in third position after registering a best time of 1:25.458 during qualifying, almost a full second off the pace of the Mercedes duo.
"I think disappointed is the wrong word. I think it is great for Ferrari to keep confirming how close we are. This is a great race for us, it is very nearly a home race for us," BBC Sport quotes the Ferrari driver as saying.
"You have to say the two guys sat at the side of me (Rosberg and Hamilton) are doing a good job, hopefully tomorrow we can be closer than today but they are doing a good job."
Vettel's Ferrari teammate Kimi Raikkonen came in seventh place with a best lap of 1:26.414.
