Sergio Perez: Racing in Mexico "a big dream"

Force India driver Sergio Perez admits that it will be a "dream come true" to race in his home country at the first Mexican Grand Prix for 23 years.

Force India's Sergio Perez has admitted that it is a "big dream" to be competing in Formula 1 at the Mexican Grand Prix this weekend.

The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez returns to the F1 calendar for the first time in 23 years, with the Mexican among the 20 drivers competing at the event.

The 25-year-old told reporters: "It's definitely a big dream for me to be able to race in my home country. It's been more than 12 years since I raced in my country, so it's definitely going to be the biggest day of my career on Sunday, because to race in front of my whole people, all my country, it's something very special.

"You know how Mexicans are. So, it's going to be the most special day of my career , no matter what result I get on Sunday. I really hope that we can have a great result and cheer all the fans that are doing the effort to come. But definitely it's just going to be a dream come true on Sunday to race in front of my crowd."

Perez finished fifth in last weekend's US Grand Prix.
