Lotus confident of Kimi Raikkonen stay

Lotus boss Eric Boullier is confident about keeping Kimi Raikkonen at the team next season.

Lotus Renault are confident of keeping Kimi Raikkonen next season.

The 33-year-old has been linked with a move to Red Bull next year, with Mark Webber stepping down at the end of the season.

Team boss Eric Boullier has insisted that he is optimistic of keeping the Finn.

"I'm very optimistic," he told JamesAllenF1.

"There is a lot of discussion in the press, most of it is irrelevant. It is all about making Kimi comfortable enough and happy enough to stay, part of it is done.

"He knows the team and the environment. Now it's about building up to the right package. He will then take his decision."

Raikkonen won the drivers' championship in 2007 while racing for Ferrari.
