Lotus boss Eric Boullier believes that his team can compete in the final four races of the 2013 season.
At Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean finished third while Kimi Raikkonen took fifth place for the Enstone-based outfit, and Boullier thinks that there is still more to come.
He told the Banbury Gazette: "It's great to see such a good fight in the race and both our cars show so strongly.
"We don't have the pace to beat Red Bull, but today we showed them that we are nevertheless quite formidable."
Lotus currently lie fourth in the constructors' rankings ahead of McLaren.
