Jenson Button "emotional" at pole position

Jenson Button says he is "emotional" after securing pole position for tomorrow's Belgian Grand Prix.

Jenson Button has described his ascent to pole position for tomorrow's Belgian Grand Prix as "emotional".

The McLaren driver posted three strong qualifying times to clinch his front-row spot at Spa - his first since Monaco in 2009.

"This is close to winning a GP for me it's been so long," said Button. "It's been quite a long time since my last pole.

"It's a bit emotional; some days have been good over the last few years but Saturdays have not gone perfectly. It was a great qualifying."

Button will be looking to secure his 14th race win tomorrow.
