McLaren's Lewis Hamilton is determined to win the United States Grand Prix after finishing second in qualifying on Saturday.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton has said that he wants to win the United States Grand Prix on Sunday.

The 27-year-old will start the race at the Circuit of the Americas in second place behind Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel, who was just 0.109 seconds quicker than the Brit.

"I'm not really concerned about the first corner," BBC Sport quotes Hamilton as saying.

"I'm more concerned about being on the dirty side of grid. I did a launch there earlier and it was quite slippery.

"I don't want to get in the way of Sebastian's race but I do want to win."

Hamilton is currently fifth in the world championship race.
