Lewis Hamilton has denied claims by Nico Rosberg that he "massively compromised" his Mercedes teammate in Sunday morning's Chinese Grand Prix.
It was suggested by the German driver that Hamilton had been racing too slowly when ahead, which allowed Sebastian Vettel to close the gap on second place.
After Rosberg had hit out at his teammate in the post-race press conference, Hamilton was quick to respond at the Shanghai International Circuit.
He is quoted by The Guardian as saying: "It's not my job to look after Nico's race, it's my job to manage the car and bring the car home as healthy and as fast as possible.
"That's what I did. I didn't do anything intentionally to slow any of the cars up, I was just focused on myself. If Nico wanted to get by he could have tried but he didn't."
Hamilton finished on top in Shanghai, while Rosberg went on to take second place and Vettel third.
